The Picarelli Family Grows!

Jacob's 30th Week

Nanny Picarelli was with us again this week, and Jacob loved every minute of it! He seems to be more accepting of other people around, and he doesn't seem quite as dependent on Mommy throughout the day. We talked to Daddy every night before bedtime, and even bought web cams so we could see each other "live time" each night. We had Grandma Brooks and Pops over for Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, using Mom Picarelli's homemade sauce and meatball recipe. Was mmmm mmmm good! Jacob came down with a rash that ended up requiring steroid cream to resolve...turns out it was eczema (initially thought it may be ringworm!). Was weighed at the doctor's office and now weighs 18lbs 11oz, 28.5inches long. Jacob has started to feed himself finger foods like cherrios and "puffs", though lots of them end up finding their way to the floor.... another new thing this for Jake this week was to turn and look at you with his head tilted to the side....so cute!

Jacob's 29th Week

Dave was out of town this week and the following week, so his mom, Janet "Nanny" Picarelli, came to stay with us for a long visit....What fun we had! Jacob continues to try to make lots of sounds and says new babble "words" each day...the "word" of the week this week was "Hi!" (or something that sounded like that at least!). He is eating solid foods three times a day now, drinks well from the sippy cup....still no teeth, but won't be long!

3/17/09- Here I am in my sun hat and shortalls... it was really warm today!

3/18/09- Mommy just got home from the grocery store, and I found my favorite toy!
(don't worry, Mommy and Nanny were supervising this play session verrrryyyyy closely!)

This is sooooo fascinating!

Jacob's 28th week

Jacob is "blowing" raspberries, and likes to pound his hands up and down against toys and in the air when he is excited....he also tried a teething biscuit for the first time this week...boy oh boy was that a mess! But he loved every minute of it! Still no teeth, but Nanny says Daddy didn't sprout teeth till closer to 12 months, so we may be waiting a bit longer! Jake continues to be the joy of our lives, and is getting bigger by the minute!
